I biked 1.5 hours yesterday morning to and from a doctor's appointment, and I was ready for lunch before 9am. It led to some poor dietary choices.

Along my ride I passed a storefront sign with one of the douchiest phrases i've seen in a while:
"clandestine: besp0ke experiences"

i puzzled over that. What does that even mean, "besp0ke experiences"?? I concluded that it must be a very high-end escort service, but when i checked their website I learned that they plan trips experiences for people. As in, "my family is going to be visiting nola for thanksgiving and we don't want to check chowh0und and tr1p advis0r like everyone else. Please take our money and tell us the best place to drink expensive champagne/buy gold cufflinks/golf and then arrange a car and driver for all of the above" Is this what they mean when they say we've lost the manufacturing base in our economy? Also, I wonder if the business owners even know the meaning of the word "clandestine"?

Further along my bike ride, a woman beckoned me over as I was stopped at a light, and led with, "i'm not a murderer or anything..." at which point I made a few assumptions and cut her off to say i didn't have any money. Her eyes went straight to my backpack. And I rode off, feeling like she didn't believe me and I should have taken out my wallet shown her I really didn't have any money and while that would have been a bad idea, I didn't like the way the whole interaction played out.
