there was a horrific quarterly meeting on friday via teleconference from our head office, which meant that we could hear them but they couldn't see us. During the brutal "motivational humourist" (a clown? seriouslywhatweretheythinking?), we hit the "mute" button and sent someone for beers. I was drunk before i even left work, and going straight to a martini party didn't help. I can't mix martinis. I have no idea what I was mixing, but by about 11pm, I had scammed some guy's phone and was calling everyone i know. i don't remember what i actually said in any of the phone calls, nor am i sure who i actually called. The next day someone called me back, and then i had to go through my phone list and make discreet enquiries about whether i'd called, and if so, what I'd said. This is the second time in the last month that I've had to sheepishly call people and ask what i said.

My friend had me nearly convinced that i'd told him all about some guy i was making out with. I couldn't remember making out with anyone, but i couldn't be certain that i hadn't.

not good. [it turned out i hadn't, and i just have the kind of friends who think that's funny]
