just an addendum on that last listening entry... i KNOW it's so hard to do all those things. Especially when:
1. i see people making the same mistakes repeatedly
2. i want to make people feel better... no one wants to see their friends depressed.
3. "suck it up, buttercup" has such gorgeous succinctness to it.

I wish i had a lot of money... today i would send bouquets of flowers. Big bunches of tulips to brighten this endless winter. To gillian cause i miss her and love her. And to PR for the very same reasons. To my sister and my mom. And to fancyass cause she's got a kick ass name and she's working way too hard. To beth cause she's just like me. There are others. Flowers all around! How wonderful it would be to be able to receive and send flowers just whenever you felt like it.

instead, i'm at work, and not minding it a bit...thinking about maybe hiking and camping through Newfoundland or Banff with one of my favorite people. Working doesn't feel so bad when you know it's going somewhere.
