I went to Little India for dinner tonight (first for south indian dosas then for kababs, as befits my indian/pakistani heritage) and I need to find a new place to eat; the atmosphere is as good as ever (even better now that they've added PAAN-O-RAMA) but my favorite Lahore Tikka House has added fancy bathrooms with taps that turn on automatically and that is the first sign that it's going downhill.

Ethnic restaurants with quality food at the cheap prices we count on do not have clean washrooms. It's bad for their street cred.

Will there be Indian food in New Orleans? i fear the answer is 'no'.

did i mention that i'm happy? sleeplessness and stress and worries aside, my underlying feeling is happy and that's good. it's really really good.
