I changed countries again. The plane didn't go down. I was happy it didn't go down. I've been meditating and it helps a lot.

I just worked the whole day in French and I mainly understood what everyone said and I was mostly understood, so that's a big improvement. Today I had meetings from 8am to 9:45 pm straight except for lunch. It sounds so crazy but I didn't really mind. Honestly, it feels good to be working on something that means something, and I'm just going with it.

Now I am listening to CBC online and drinking fizzy water. The fizzy water here is called "Cristal" so I get to order "un grand Cristal" and pretend I'm getting a bottle of fancy Champagne, and it's my little private joke that always makes me smile to myself. So I'm feeling less anxious and more rested and therefore mostly content (except CBC just decided to play some new Corey Hart, a truly questionable choice, as the only Corey Hart anyone ever needs to hear is "sunglasses at night" and I'm not even sure about that).

And! Two (two!) friends sent me music today, which was quite a nice surprise. Also so grateful for friends and for new music. Though one was an R Kelly link and no, i'm definitely not listening to R Kelly.

This entry reminds me that i recently made a bumble profile and tried to figure out how to convey that i have a lot of opinions. I wrote: "keep swiping if you're ok with calling a football team 'washington redskins'". I feel like that will weed out a chunk of people I don't want to meet anyway. Maybe it's not very romantic? Ugh online dating, this should be interesting.
