ok the day after i posted that, my friend texted me to say that nick cave had just announced a new tour, including a stop in this town, and so i made a note and got online early and got tickets for october. Bam. Why can't all my other dreams come true so easily?

i'm still filling time. Went for dinner at a colleagues place one night, and for drinks for a friend's birthday a couple of days later. I fixed my bike and stopped by a cafe for south indian food i'd been craving. I went to a sourdough bread class the other day because i like fermenting things. I stopped by a friend's place and had pizza and beers on the deck in the sunshine. I made lemon squares and distributed them liberally. I called my mom.. my dad too, but he's a bit MIA and i didn't catch him. Called my sister, but we didn't manage to connect. I made a great quinoa salad i've been eating for days. I made a not-so-great macaroni and cheese that i've also been eating for days. I cleaned my apartment. I'm practicing my french.

ugh, exhausted just reading that, which is the point.. .to keep myself too busy to mope, think, or wallow.
