i ordered a pizza! first delivery order of my adult life as I am definitely the kind of person who, when there is no food, just poaches an egg and eats it on top whatever i have in the fridge/freezer/cupboard. But i did that for breakfast and it was raining and I'd called in sick and ended up working almost the whole day from home anyway, so i was feeling sorry for myself. Lots of capitalist firsts this week. Downsward slide, probably. But still, it's amazing. You just call and talk to someone, and give them your credit card number, and then food appears.

i finally strung up a clothesline on the deck but of course haven't gotten round to buying any clothespegs (when did I last even *think* that word? is that even a word?), so of course within an hour of me nicely hanging up my laundry, I looked out and realized that my brightly coloured underthings were nicely strewn along the sidewalk in front of my house and the yard of the Seventh Day Adventist Church next door. Hurried down to fetch them and of course that was the moment I got to meet a few new neighbours I hadn't encountered before. Classic shuffle-bra-and-panties to left hand so I could shake hands. I have this one horrific blue and purple tiger striped thong i bought on sale because it looked comfortable (for a thong). Horrors.

Lost it with the waiting for BT to make a plan, and so I finally just got on the phone with him over lunch and i just booked the flight while he waited. It makes no sense but somehow he can't do it. ok. Fine. He paid for it, i just booked it and now he's coming on Friday for 10 days! hooray. Once it was done, he sounded quite excited and i still don't understand why the whole process is always like he's preparing for a root canal.
