Working from home this week. The new job is going so well, and it feels really really really good.

Dinner last night with one of BT's closest friends, his partner, and their 1 year old. We have friends here! That is nice. I made rhubarb cupcakes with caramel sauce and they were amazing. It's almost spring, I can use my rhubarb from the freezer! More is coming!

The conversation was mostly in English, sometimes in French. I struggled to follow the French parts - i've forgotten so much already. We caught up on old friends. Two couples in our circle had sons last month and another couple - I hadn't heard they were expecting a baby, they moved to Scotland last year - are due any day now. I got quiet as I started counting and on the way home I asked BT if he realized that we are the only ones now without a commitment or kids, in this group of friends we've known for almost a decade. I wondered out loud, 'where are we going with this?' He had no answer. This week was our 8 year anniversary. I need to decide what to do. I've given myself until June to mull it over. I don't want to rush into anything but I also need some clarity. If we're going to continue indefinitely to be this uncommitted couple who live in two places and see each other often and it's mostly really nice. But I have to accept this isn't going to change, and i need to figure out if I want something different
