kampala. One week down, another to go. Ups and downs, mainly ups. Went out to a primary school on Friday to see their gardens and it closed with lots of kids singing nutrition/gardening songs and dancing.. super cute and it was really special to be there. I particularly liked the song on making fertilizer from all the different droppings. It was a fun few hours and more than made up for the ~8 hours in the car that the field trip entailed.
Dinner last night w/ a friend I worked with in Ethiopia. He had horror stories about his wife's pregnancy in Addis, including an incorrect diagnosis of miscarriage. Yeesh. I spent a lot of time sleeping this weekend. I wanted to get out and figure out the city, but I also really didn't, and inertia won. I know one day i will take a couple of days and find all my favorite things about this place but for now i continue to cycle office-hotel-occasional rural field trip-repeat.
