I have a flight credit i have to use up, so I spent the evening trying to choose between a week in northern spain by myself, or a week on an island off the coast of seattle with one of my best friends and her 2 year old son. It would be so nice to go and have a nice trip, but the thing is, I am just going to be writing and feeling guilty, no matter where i end up. But I don't want to just waste the free flight. I had planned for a long bike trip this summer, possibly through the Pyrenees, ending up w/ family reunion in Barcelona. I thought i'd be finished, you see. I thought i might bike through lavender fields. Drink wine and eat cheese. Come home and build a terrarium or something. HA! Not even close. Worked all day today and then the internet told me how to dry dill in the microwave, so i did, and now my hands smell so delicious I really can't get too worked up about anything.

BT sent me an unexpected email link a couple of days ago about a thing i thought we were past, and i politely responded "maybe we should talk about this and not hijack people's days with unexpected email links" and he politely responded "yes you're right" but now it's 3 days later and we haven't talked, emailed, or texted since because, you see, who wants to talk about things? not me. not him either, apparently. guh. dill hands. dill hands.
