Things going great here. I'm loving this project, even though it's hard. I can see the ideas coming together into something coherent. I'm happy to be here. Over Skype, poured some of my energy into a gaping pit of inertia, but eventually i pulled back. Got to keep some energy for myself. I'm learning.

Ethiopian dinner in a garden with old friends from nola... but now they live in kampala, and they have a new baby they've adopted. Time marching on for everyone, and i'm still frozen in the same place. I should probably turn off The National now and go to bed. Guess I didn't save as much of my own energy as I should have.
