I met BT's new roommate for the first time this afternon... I avoided the "where do you work?" question as long as I could, and finally settled on "so what do you do all day?" when i ran into her in the hall for the fourth time.

She said, "I work part time as an energy consultant and I'm also in a band". I said something about positive vibes being important (I don't know?!), asked if she had a show coming up soon, and got out of there... But I felt she looked at me strangely when I mentioned the vibes, so later I asked BT if he ever thought about getting her to do an energy consultation since he's had such a rough couple of months. Then HE looked at me strangely too. Turns out she works for the government on renewable energy issues. I thought "energy consultant" meant reiki or something.

BT saw a cartoon which involved a character called "stevie stenographer", and now whenever we have one of those "I said this" / "no you said that" conversations, he mentions stevie stenographer. drives me nuts. But also, that would be handy.

new years resolutions are bouncing around my head. Should probably go back and see what I resolved last year.
