physically? Yes, that too, but i meant in my head. I'm back in N.O., til Thursday, then back off to Eth till Christmas.

I've been waking up at 7am to work, and then taking long breaks in the middle of the day to have a life and working late again into the night. Candle's got 2 ends, right?

Today i made a latticed blueberry pie (unplanned... my dough went sticky and I couldn't get the top crust off the counter. Sharp knife and spatula later i had a credible-looking lattice, mostly in 3-inch lengths that hopefully look artistic rather than roughshod. Pie crusts are my waterloo). The blueberries are from berries I picked and froze when I was here in June. There is still hope that I get to be who I want when i grow up.

It felt good.

Then I made my appetizer.. what was supposed to be brie wrapped in puff pastry ended up camembert wrapped in phyllo, but I drizzled it all with butter and added fresh pears and hoped for the best.

I'm ready for a bike ride under the live oaks, a cold beer on a southern porch. This life I love. Banking all this balance away so later i can pull it out like a ninja.
