The other humiliating thing that happened on Friday was that I dressed up in bright red scrubs and wore a stethoscope and a surgical mask and ran around Toronto �diagnosing� people with The Catch� all part of a mysterious campaign which has blanketed the city for the last month. This is Toronto, and we had SARS, and so it�s a bit scary to see someone running up to you wearing a mask, and sometimes people would shout, �get away from me, you stethescoped freak!� But sometimes they said, �what�s the Catch?� which showed that the whole ridiculous campaign actually worked� Then we would give them lollipops and tell them to go to a website, and can you actually believe I did that for hours this weekend?

And then on Tuesday, Virgin megalomaniac [Sir] Richard Branson jumped off a building in Toronto and landed downtown to announce that �the Catch� isn�t a new STD (lots of people thought it was a syphilis ad), but actually a mobile phone advertisement.

Lame lame lame. We were told to target kids as young as 13, which just seems wrong.

Visions of running into a high school classmate on the street while dressed in my gear:
old classmate: hey narcissa, what�s up? What are you doing dressed in red scrubs running around the streets with lollipops?
narcissa: oh nothing� just kind of broke, trying to make some money. Because I am 25 and living at home and jobless and broke. You?
old classmate: I�m a doctor.

And then I went home and found out I got a great job and now here I am at a real desk doing great work. Well... updating. But now I�m off. Hooray! A job! I�m so happy.
