Is it weird that sometimes i have these weekends where i hide out in this flat and don't talk to anyone and watch only english movies and listen only to my cds from home, and make spaghetti or pizza and generally pretend i'm not in India at all?
It's like a mini vacation, and then on monday i step out of the building adn plunge back into the real world.
Don't worry, this was not one such weekend. I am taking a photography course, which is filled with a lot of dopey married couples. And last night i sat on terrace in a gorgeous breeze, watched Venus nearly touch a new moon, and somehow ended up explaining my job to a whole circle of strangers... which i try not to do, because talk of dead babies is kind of a party killer and i just
a) have to turn it off when i'm not at work, and
b) don't want to be that Earnest Girl who Saves Babies.
I've tentatively stepped into the dating world. The Dating World in India. I know. I'll try not to come back married. But really.. enough is enough. How long can one go? I sure get asked out a lot here. Do you think it's
a) my hottttness, or
b) my Canadian citizenship?
And if the answer is b), do you think it's
i)my passport and the potential for Marriage and life in the New World or,
ii)my purported Western Easiness?
