I am so strangely obsessed with going into this one shack that i pass every day on the train.

It's a ramshackle building made of steel sidings. One wall is a fence. The roof is a canvas tarp held down by bricks. And it's got this big sign on it advertising FENG SHUI SERVICES.

Feng shui in a hut? This i have to see.

Yesterday, in a fit of High Fidelity, I alphabetized my CD collection.

This is so strange... I know that there are people out there with alphabetized cd collections, but i have never been one of those people. It's such an aberrant thing for me to have done that I feel a bit disturbed. Too much time on my hands? Need to do something menial? Development of compulsive tendencies? I have no idea.

I come home from work mentally and physically exhausted... I stop at the market, buy some fruits/veg, make a salad, eat, and collapse under a fan. Sometimes I go for a walk to the ocean, sometimes I read, sometimes I visit friends. My life is so simple here, and I enjoy its lack of complications.

That said: I sure could use a patio, some old friends, some strongbow, and all accompanying complications.

I guess I engage my emotions here on such a macro level, trying to figure things out... daily confronting all these issues of globalization, gender, culture, blah blah blah.

I wouldn't mind focusing on just myself for a while, but there really isn't a whole lot to think about.

I fear i have ceased to make sense. It is likely that the heat has fried my brain. I'll go now.
