I took a little train that was sosmall that they call it a toy train. It circled up and up for five hours. Into the clouds. Above the clouds. Higher.
And now i'm up in the middle of the himalayas. Green and cool and full of beautiful hikes. I love it.
I ate breakfast - fresh fruit and the ubiquitous masala chai - looking over a valley surrounded by purple mountain ranges that stretch forever.
It's cold here... so i had to layer everything i own and snuggle under covers for warmth. I woke up and luxuriated in the cold.. i'm more Canadian than i thought.
I'll be here for a week, trekking, and then back to Bombay to start work.
I'm not quite sure how i got here (and is that Neil Young drifting over the air? Must go find the source), but i'm so glad to be here.
I can't get over the way that you have no way of predicting where life will take you.
