Well. The damn power in damn Canada went out about 30 minutes before my mother, brother, sister, and cousin were due to board their plane to Chicago, which would have flown them around the world to Kuwait, and then Bombay.
I didn't know any of this, so I raced back here all ready to meet them. And received the saddest phone call, informing me that they weren't here yet, and - worse - they can't come at all. The power was out for too long. It doesn't work.
So... no family fun. No stories no history no tigers.
next time. another time. bah. Sometimes i think we have very bad luck.
*
So now I have some time... I don't know.... Delhi? cross country to Nepal? Up to the Himalayas? We shall see. I spent all yesterday feeling all orphaned and sorry for myself, but now I will just have to figure out my own travel plan and i'm sure all will be well.
I would really like to spend some time volunteering here... am trying to figure out how it would work around my montreal commitments for september.
we'll see.
