oh, internet. i sure have missed you. And english! I miss that too... i miss having conversations that are not limited to the present tense. When i got here, i could only speak in sentences that read like a first grade primer:

hello. how are you? i like food. i am angry. i like sleep. what's your name?

I'm better now... i know past and future, and tomorrow i learn how to say "i should have," which is a phrase that figures prominently in my life.

So i went to banff. i got to sleep in a ginormous tent with eight giggly girls [i took dollar-store plastic snakes with me, cause that's always a funny joke when you share a tent with lots of girls]. I got to wake up and step outside into beautiful forest with the snow-capped Rockies looming in the background. MOUNTAINS. We ain't got no mountains in ontario. I saw moose and deer and antelope.

Oh, and how about beautiful, endless hikes [all uphill... j'ai mal au fasse]? I think we hiked 13 kilometres on saturday, and it was almost all uphill... i wimped out and took the gondola down at the end. So thankful for good planning, cause after all that hiking, we spent 1.5 hours relaxing in outdoor hot springs, looking at mountain peaks and ignoring the mosquitos.

and then camp fires and star gazing and guitar. I've been far too cynical for far too long... this is good for me. [but if i start going on long rants about nike, you can kick me, cause that's so 1990]
