oh my. a weekend of goodbyes.. some good and some bad. Like, this is my last graveyard shift, [hopefully] ever, in the history of the world, and i'm not really so sad to say goodbye to these.

But i had a crazy goodbye night at phil's. It was ridiculous... i drank a bottle of wine before i even got there, and that's just not smart when you're at a place with $1.75 drinks. It's not my fault - the bloody hockey game took three overtimes and we still lost. There was nothing to do but drown our sorrows.

and i hosted a superfun dinner party with 15 or 16 of my favorite people ever. And there were celebratory martinis mixed with tears and goodbyes and someone got fucking ENGAGED, if you can believe it.

it all feels appropriate, and i'm ready to move on. I'm sure i'll be sad, and i'm sure i'll miss this place when i'm out in the real world... but. i was ready to be done. Five years. Enough is enough, already.

and now there are plans for roadtripping and ohmygod my sister and i are heading out to halifax next week for bonding and visiting and driving and hiking and cottage-ing and fun.

i can't wait to see the ocean and clamber across the rocks and visit great people and step into the road so that people will stop to let me cross.

it's hard to be sad when there is so much excitement on the horizon. No job... but that's a whole 'nother entry.

I have made some wonderful friends and i KNOW i'll be talking to some of them when i'm 60.

Oh. And this is all so premature, because although i'm done my exams, i still have one essay to write. I'm going to head home and sleep off this gravey headache, and just write the thing. I don't even care what it says, as long as it's done by this evening.
