oh my. yesterday was a long, long, long day. Up early to do schoolwork, then 4-12 at the coalmines job.

I was practically salivating at the idea of home from about 9:30 onward. Mainly due to a co-worker who is... difficult. No social skills. A CD collection that includes Winston Marsalis, Seal, and Yanni.

I'm not kidding.

Anyway. Made it home with a splitting headache, and just wrapped myself in the quiet, which was mercifully free of non-stop banal comments and underlying arrogance. And my home has a strict N0-SEAL policy, which is fairly important for my peace of mind.

Last night would all be a thing of the past. Except. I'm working again today from 10-6. With the same guy.

To be honest, I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a dull spoon.

It's just that he requires a lot of patience. And i'm pretty thin on that these days. And you know what? Condescension and arrogance are honestly my two least favorite qualities ever.

oh... i also got to deal with the ambulance/fire truck/police after yesterday's SARS scare. Thankfully, it turned out to be negative, or we would have had to quarantine this. whole. building. We would have had to stay here extra. days. No words for that. Just icy terror down my spine. These kids better stay healthy and get the hell out of dodge.
