okay. [obviously] i went across the street to the pub, because that�s what i do. But i must be growing up, cause i still went to class afterwards, albeit tipsily.

I would like to state for the record that I was not too tipsy to be enraged by that speech. I am tired of trumped up accusations, mass hysteria, hypocrisy, hyperbole, and half-truths. I am thrilled that Canada will not be a part of this war, because it indicates:

1) a continuing commitment to the UN and the principles of multilateral action
2) that we still have some sovereign capacity
3) that someone took notice of the overwhelming opposition to this country�s participation in this war
4) recognition that this war cannot be even remotely justified (i.e. because Saddam Hussein is not a credible threat to the West; his weapons really aren�t very dangerous; and any allegations of links between his secular government and Al-Qaeda are ridiculous, because they hate each other. While listing the millions of reasons that this war is wrong, we probably shouldn�t forget about how this war will likely stir up a hotbed of anti-american sentiment which can only further Al-Qaeda�s cause and further destabilize the region)

Oh. And put the damn �french� back into "french fries"

What is this? Grade three?

Dear Congress:
grow up. And try banning something useful.. like, maybe, handguns.
