today, oh happy day, i went to the bank. I discovered a very large sum of money in an account i only vaguely remember opening.

A tip: when you're in high school, get them to take $100 out of your account every month and hide it where you can't touch about it.

go back in five years and marvel at your thriftiness.

so. I KNOW i should save that money for grad school. I also owe my parents an indeterminable amount of money.

but. BUT. I'm graduating in two months and i just want to blow it all! I WANT to! I want to drive across Canada, up to California, and across to Mexico.

I want to stay with friends across South America, learning Spanish. I want to hike the Inca trail. I want to camp in Costa Rica. I want to dance on the beach in Guatemala.

I want to fly to India and visit my relatives. I want to hear their stories, visit places of birth and death. I want to know where I come from. I want to exorcise some ghosts.

I want to visit Nepal, come back via Thailand and Japan. I want to skip over to South Korea and see some friends.

I want to go south to New Zealand. I want Australia. I want to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Fiji. Can I go to Fiji?

I want to do Istanbul to Cairo, overland.
