I was supposed to head to the lab with a friend around 8 or 8:30. She just called me and woke me up, and we were both super depressed because her clock said 9am, and we were supposed to wake up at 8am, and oh, panic, because there is SO MUCH TO DO AND SO LITTLE TIME! 2:30 DEADLINES APPROACH!

And then i hung up, and lay in bed feeling angry for myself for being so stupid as to sleep in when there's so much at stake.

And then I looked over at my clock, and holy jesus, it's only 7:30! Not 9! Instant gain of an hour and a half, and it's just like daylight savings time!

And there was much celebration. And then a little moment of silence because this is what i have become.

But it doesn't matter, cause at the end of the day, it will be 2:30 at some point, and i will present the Very Large Paper to the Smartest Prof Ever. And he will tear me apart like he did last week's presenter. Or... maybe, he'll tear me apart like he did the presenter the week before last.

Either way, i'm prepared.

It's like the academic version of Japanese Kamikaze Pilots.

*sigh* it seems to me that at one point my entries contained a whole lot more sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll, and a whole lot less happiness about being awake at 7:30.

And a whole lot less use of terms like "academic kamikaze pilots"
