ARGH!

so i've been taking a very, VERY well deserved nap

and people. keep. calling.

fine. i understand that it's 7:30pm, which is a perfectly reasonable time to call. But i've been in the deepest sleep ever, so the phone isn't really registering in my head.

AND. AND!

This makes me so mad.... by the time I figure out that the ringing sound isn't the person in my dream starting to talk in a buzzing voice, or it isn't a school bell, or a robot, or a ship horn, or whatever the hell i'm dreaming of... by the time i figure that out and lunge for the phone... the person has hung up.

fine.

Except. He or she is NOT leaving a fucking message. So i've gotten six phone calls in the last hour and a half, and i only managed to answer ONE. I answered that call, was completely incoherent, and then fell back asleep in milliseconds.

All the other ones.. fuck. Who does that? I have procured an answering maching for this very purpose.

The last time i got woken up, i couldn't fall back asleep. This is because every smoke detector in my apartment building is going off in a simultaneous symphony because apparently they're all helpless students who don't know how to cook. Or how disable an alarm.

Now i don't know how my kickass dream ends, and i'm the crankiest person ever, and the every person who calls me for the next five days is going to go through an Inquisition. And they better 'fess up. And then i will sweetly request that they ALWAYS LEAVE A MESSAGE WHEN THEY CALL ME.

The only time you're allowed to not leave a message is if you're really really REALLY nervous about calling a boy, and you psych yourself up to call him, and then the answering machine kicks in. Then, and ONLY THEN, can you slam down the phone without leaving a message.
